For a profound and personal insight into local customs, a Maori guide will take guests to the sacred Tane Mahuta – meaning ‘lord of the Forest’ – which is the largest Kauri Tree in New Zealand, standing at a height of just over 51 metres. Then Longlands Homestead is a working farm, at which guests will be given a first-hand insight into New Zealand’s famous agricultural tradition, before sitting down to a classic North Island farmhouse roast lunch.
